Nuvio Planet is a Berlin-based team of agrifood scientists and industry operators. We have spent more than twenty years measuring footprints in the protein and feed industry, advised over 250 companies, and run thousands of LCAs on our own software. Prototyped inside BASF and now fully independent, we build the environmental intelligence the industry actually needs: species-specific, transparent, and made for operational decisions.

The first version of this approach started inside BASF in 2021 as Opteinics, an early attempt to bring environmental transparency into animal protein production. The concept evolved within Chemovator, the BASF venture incubator, and has since become Nuvio Planet: a fully independent company building the environmental intelligence platform the protein and feed industry actually needs: species-specific, transparent, real-time, and built for operational impact.
